I opened the drapes to embrace the beginning of a new day. The lemon yellow sun danced on the turquoise ocean. I watched it caress the white sandy beach tenderly. I opened the door and stepped out on the balcony to inhale the salty air. Miami was one of my favorite destinations. I heard Travis walk up and felt both of his arms close around me. 

Snippet of Chapter One

     “What do you want to do today?” he said as he took a small nibble from my ear. 

      “We can do whatever you want to do, babe. But I could just stand here and look at this view for the rest of my life and never grow bored.” I tilted my head back to let it rest on Travis’s chest. We stood on the balcony and took in the view for what seemed like an eternity. The world belonged to us, even if just for that moment.  

     Travis and I had been in bed for the past two days in his condominium at the Fontainebleau hotel; this was his investment from when he played for the Miami Heat. He couldn’t bring himself to sell so he held on to it and used it as his getaway spot. Travis liked to spend his off-season between Miami, Atlanta and his parents’ home in New Orleans. I went to each of them with him, too. I had a lot of free time on my hands and decided to spend as much of it as possible with Travis.
